Tee Box
“White tees” or equivalent for said course will be the standard playing position.
First Hole Tee Off be determined by coin flip or wheel spin app.
Honors may be conceded with permission from honoree to whomever is ready to play.
Breakfast balls on the first tee only. Not counted as a mulligan.
Fairways
Ball may be moved out of divots, holes, or footprints, away from tree roots, dirt patches, and any other dangerous lies without penalty.
We are playing “Ready Golf”. Hit when ready.
Muddy balls may be cleaned and replaced.
Rough
Keep the ball in the rough.
Fluffing is permitted.
Bunkers
You have the option to remove it. Drop the ball behind or lateral of the bunker without penalty. One club length relief from the bunker.
Grounding your club is permitted.
Greens
Pin removal is not mandatory.
Putts may be conceded (gimme) with your opponent’s consent. Do not assume a putt is conceded and be reasonable. Three-footers are not automatic gimmes!
When your opponent concedes a gimme putt, pick up your ball.
If you putt your ball, you have waived the gimme and must count the result of the putt.
Automatic gimme between the bottom of the grip to the putter head of a standard-length putter. 36 inches max putter length.
BIRDIES ARE NOT GIMMES ANYWHERE ON THE GREEN. THEY MUST FALL.
All playing areas
If you or the group see a ball clearly land but are unable to locate it upon reaching the area, you may apply the “gallery drop” or “leaf rule” without any additional penalty stroke.
Search Times
Five minutes from the time you start to look for your ball. Two minutes if the course is backed up. If lost, drop where lost and play on.
PENALTIES
All penalties are one stroke. i.e. off the tee, out of bounds, water and lateral hazards, lost ball, and unplayable lie. Drop a ball near where the original was lost and play on.
Equipment
Keep it to legal clubs only. Otherwise, no restrictions, including number of clubs or borrowing clubs.
Asking what club your playing partner is hitting is permitted.
